Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise has been a writer, singer, and actress in the US for over 40 years. Most famously, she is known for her role as Ginger Grant (in the 60s TV series Gilligan's Island). Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared for her first stage appearance. Following that, she performed on Broadway in a variety of performances until 1957 when Li'l Abner became famous at the National Theatre. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina during the same year. Louise made her foray into Hollywood playing Griselda Walden in God's little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film was praised widely as well as Louise received the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In this time, she studied at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. The actress joined CBS in 1964, to play Ginger Grant. Louise kept juggling her career effectively with a variety of roles between Broadway TV and Hollywood portraying somber characters as opposed to her image as being a glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. The series starred her as SG-1's Helen Magnus and Sanctuary. But, over the last few years she also became a well-known director on popular TV shows such as Supernatural and The 100. Born in Essex on August 28th 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto when she was just three and she continued to live there throughout growing up and in adolescence. Her home was in Vancouver following her selection to play Samantha Carter.
